ANASTASIA VASILAKIS: DOUBLE TAKE

Join us at 90 Water Street for the opening of Double Take. In this new show, Anastasia repurposes found or acquired materials by integrating her own unique ink drawings into the original images. The superposition of the acquired image and her artistic response functions as a kind of dialogue that gives new life and vibrancy to everyday visual experience. These new works jolt us out of our sometimes complacent approach to the visual field, and help us to look again, and more deeply at the world around us.
